Hopefully you all had a great restful Spring Break and are ready hit this last block running! Some of you are getting ready to graduate in May, and some of you are wishing you were graduating this May.
Here are some things you can do to ensure that you pass the class:

SIX full class periods remaining to finish your 200 point project!
If you are having a hard time with some of the tutorials, then choose an easy one just to get yourself started and start remembering how to use the tools.
Don’t forget you can look up some projects as well, I just need to approve of them!
Check the list daily because I may be adding some as wel go.

Work on your final project!
Remember – If you find other tutorials or have ideas for projects you would like to do, let me know so I can tell you whether I approve it and how many points it would be worth. Some projects I will not approve because it mirrors a project we did in class and does not show me anything new. Some projects I might not approve because it is too difficult and it would end up wasting time.
You can go to Google and do a search on “Photoshop Tutorials” or “Photoshop Effects” to view websites that offer other fun tutorials.

LAST BELLWORK OF THE BLOCK! That means from now on when you come into class you need to immediately log in and begin work on your final projects.
What grade do you feel you deserve in this class? What have you done to deserve this grade? Be able to justify your answer and be honest. Just because you say you should get an A because you’re awesome does not answer the question honestly nor does it mean you’ll get an A.

You have 7 days to complete the final project, which is now posted under the Assignments tab. Some of you should be finished with the pen tool project today. If you do, you may move right on into the final project. If you aren’t, you need to finish quickly so that you have enough time to finish the final project.

Continue with the pen tool project when you are finished with bell work. Be as detailed as you can with the pictures. The more layers you add, the better it will look. Plus by the end of the project you will be a Pen Tool pro!
If you have questions about the pen tool from yesterday, please ask. Don’t just put your head down.

Tell me everything you remember about the pen tool from yesterday. Be as detailed as possible. If you need to, think about how you traced around the elephant and how you moved points around. If you don’t remember a lot, tell me which parts you don’t remember or didn’t understand.

When you are finished with bell work, open up Lesson 8 from the Assignments tab. Today we will be learning about the pen tool. Once we run through the practice, you may finish your Marketing and Design project if you haven’t already. If you are finished, you may begin the Pen Tool Project in the Assignments tab. This is our last project before the big final project.
Just as a reminder – we have 12 days remaining! Eight of those days will be used to work on your final project. We will also have serious study time to get ready for the final exam on the last week. If you never made your study cards to try to get extra points added to your midterm exam, you might want to do that because it will not only get your extra points, but it will also help you prepare for the final.
We also have 2 Friday Flexes remaining. If you owe me time and didn’t come last Friday you need to make sure to come this Friday. There is ABSOLUTELY NO FLEXING ON THE LAST WEEK OF THE BLOCK!!
If you are absent any day of the last week that is automatic loss of credit. Please keep it going for the last three weeks!
Find a picture on the internet of some landscape – medium sized is fine. Landscapes are any pictures of wide open outdoor spaces like the beach, a forest, a desert, etc.
Copy and paste the picture into Photoshop, then apply four different filters to the image.
When you are finished, save as Bellwork22
Then come back here and comment, telling me what four filters you used.

Finish your CD/game cover. We will be moving on very soon. If you have not come up with a concept for your CD or game cover yet and need some suggestions, let me know.
Don’t forget I will not be here tomorrow for Flex.

There will be work for you there that you need to complete to get flex credit.
